DIESEL- FUEL FOR LIFE DENIM COLLECTION
The advertising of Diesel's FUEL FOR LIFE new collection.
And this is an interview between Coll Hunting.com and Annick Menardo of Firmenich, the creative who created the scents of this new fragrance, to tell us about her inspiration and her interpret of the brand.
Cool Hunting: Diesel is such an active, youthful and en energetic brand. How do you translate that into a signature fragrance style?
Annick Menardo: When we create a perfume for Diesel we try to keep and transmit the values of youth and energy which are really important for the brand. In order to transmit this energy, we use citrus notes like grapefruit, lemon and mandarin orange. To give a trendy and youthful touch we work with new and innovative ingredients. We have access to new raw materials which we didn't have in the past. All these ingredients allow us to express and to create innovative fragrances in a different way—this is important for young consumers who are looking for some new experiences.

CH: How is the Fuel for life Denim Collection similar to the other Diesel fragrances? How is it different?
AM: The Fuel for Life Denim Collection is fresher and more luminous on top, though it keeps the modern and sensual character of the Fuel For Life Classic. The new Denim Collection naturally fits in the Diesel perfumes range. It respects the values of modernity, youth and sexiness that are so important to (and characteristic of) the brand.

CH: How are the mens and womens versions similar and different?
AM: They keep the sensual and enveloping signature of Fuel For Life and add a fresher and more sparkling top note. The women's fragrance features blackcurrant notes, and the men's lemon notes. The common note between the two fragrances is raspberry. It brings the fresh and sparkling side in the women's and the sensual and captivating aspects in the men's versions.

Isotype symbol and logo
Symbol was offen use as a past of logo elements to help the brand communicate their information because image is easier to understand and recognise than word. Isotype is like an international language, people cam understand the information easily without language knowledge and there are more than 4000 signs that was develop by the 2 masters of isotype symbol, Otto Neurath and Gerd Arntz.

Birminghmmm: Birmingham gourmet capital promotion campaign (2011)
This is the logo design that I made for b-hive 2011 competition. The brief is to create identity: concept, name and logo mark for the campaign to position Birmingham as a gourmet capital and promote the diversity and quality of restaurant in Birmingham.
Birmingham + Ummm = Birminghmmm
This concept was inspired by the warm atmosphere in restaurant. For me restaurant is not only a place for eating but also meeting and most of people who go out to restaurants are want to experience the restaurant atmosphere and hope to having a great time.
Birminghmmm is an combination between Birmingham and Ummm.
Ummm is an remarkable feeling. it the sound that can present the feeling of satisfaction, happiness and exciting in the same time.
Ummm is the imaginative sound. You can imagine the facial expression, smile, and the satisfied feeling that come with this sound.
So, Birminghmmm is the Ummm experience that you'll get in Birmingham with more than 200 restaurants from 27 countries around the world and 3 Michelin stared restaurants.

happen! : Touring Contemporary Art Gallery (2011)
happen! is the gallery brand that I was design for participate in D&AD 2011competition. According to the brief, it ask to create a brand for the new touring art gallery in hospital by consider to the benefit of patients and visitor in hospital, Local people and artist as the main objective.
happen! was developed under the concept ' the special art event'. It is the touring contemporary art gallery that aims to create the special art event for everyone. Not only for people who interested in art but also everyone in local, especially patients, hospital stuff and visitor who are in medical concern. happen! aims to use art as a tool to healing people’s health and mind and also connect, inspire, and motivate people to think.
Extra activity in the event : 'happened!'
Happened is an special activity placed in the exhibition which is will be adjustable for each difference town. This will be the area for community of local people and anyone can join and spend time together. It also can give inspiration to people who is interested in art and even not interested as well. After the exhibition is move out, all of the works that has been done by local people will be place at the gallery for 1 month.

Hi everyone,
Welcome to my blog, My name is Youyu . I'm from Bangkok, Thailand but now living in UK and studying Master Degree in Visual Communication course at Birmingham City University, majoring in visual identity and branding.
For my background, I'm graduated from King Mongkut's University, Bangkok majoring in fine arts. I've start my career as a freelancer and have been working with Kullasatri Woman Magazine of BKK as a copywriter for the interview and news issues and also write about the design, fashion, and technology trends for the teenager in Central-y-club.com.
It was nice to gain an experience from being a writer&interviewer, i've found something precisely about real life in this competition world and getting to know how important of branding effected life from those people who is succeed in every aspects of their business also some have met with many obstacles and even fail before getting stronger by themselves again.
it's the fact that truly creating & pushing my intention into branding little by little. To need to know exactly how to build the brand, what's the branding can change and especially how it effected the design as a root of branding knowledge.
Half a year after worked as a writer & interviewer, I got a chance to work at Urmundee Creative Studio BKK in the position of a graphic designer and producer assistant before decided to continue studying in UK.
I'm interesting in many fields of art and design. Even if i've background on fine arts but I'm also interesting in conceptual, experiment art, video, film, interactive media, illustration, graphic design, event and exhibitions management, technology, which is under an umbrella of branding!
I hope you guys will enjoy my blog which i put all my intention to share and review about the interesting news update and new stuffs of the design. Let's see how its related and effect on graphic design, visual identity and branding nowadays.
