Birminghmmm: Birmingham gourmet capital promotion campaign (2011)

This is the logo design  that I made for b-hive 2011 competition. The brief is to create identity: concept, name and logo mark for the campaign to position Birmingham as a gourmet capital and promote the diversity and quality of restaurant in Birmingham.


Birmingham + Ummm = Birminghmmm 


This concept was inspired by the warm atmosphere in restaurant. For me restaurant is not only a place for eating but also meeting and most of people who go out to restaurants are want to experience the restaurant atmosphere and hope to having a great time. 


Birminghmmm is an combination between Birmingham and Ummm.
Ummm is an remarkable feeling. it the sound that can present the feeling of satisfaction, happiness and exciting in the same time.
Ummm is the imaginative sound. You can imagine the facial expression, smile, and the satisfied feeling that come with this sound.


So, Birminghmmm is the Ummm experience that you'll get in Birmingham with more than 200 restaurants from 27 countries around the world and 3 Michelin stared restaurants.

happen! : Touring Contemporary Art Gallery (2011)

happen! is the gallery brand that I was design for participate in D&AD 2011competition. According to the  brief, it ask to create  a brand for the new touring art gallery in hospital by consider to the benefit of patients and visitor in hospital, Local people and artist as the main objective. 

happen! was developed under the concept ' the special art event'. It is the touring contemporary art gallery that aims to create the special art event for everyone. Not only for people who interested in art but also everyone in local, especially patients, hospital stuff and visitor who are in medical concern. happen! aims to use art as a tool to healing people’s health and mind and also connect, inspire, and motivate people to think.

Extra activity in the event : 'happened!'

Happened is an special activity placed in the exhibition which is will be adjustable for each difference town. This will be the area for community of local people and anyone can join and spend time together. It also can give inspiration to people who is interested in art and even not interested as well. After the exhibition is move out, all of the works that has been done by local people will be place at the gallery for 1 month.
